Top 10 Most Popular Travel Apps and Websites
In this article I will talk about some of the different apps I have used when traveling. This will include travel apps and travel websites that track itineraries; some of the apps and websites will help with international trip planning and other trip planning.
Whether you’re a solo traveler or you need a travel group app or are just looking for a holiday app then I’m sure this article will be for you. Who knows I may even add a book hotels directly app if I feel like it.
1. TripIt
TripIt is where the contents of your trip is stored. It’s know as a travel itinerary software. Whether it’s bus tickets; flights; accommodations and event this company keeps track of my travel through thick or thin. I originally heard about it as a travel phone app but I guess they have a web version as well.
2. Airalo
Airalo is one of those good travel apps aka trip tech you need for your next trip. Have you ever tried to buy a sim card in another country? My win rate for this has to be sub 50/50 as it’s so tough to install and sometimes the sim is a scam. This is one of the best travel apps for Europe as you can just buy the Europe SIM and your phone works! This app is perfect for anyone who wants to use their phone in another country as e-sims are so hot right now.
3. Google Translate
This app acts a translator and I declare it the best translation app for travel. Seriously it helps a lot when there is a language barrier. This has to be one of the best traveling websites know to man-kind. It can make it so people with different languages can talk to each other. Priceless technology.
4. Kiwi.com
Kiwi.com is a great global trip planner and subsequently wins the award for best traveling website. It allows users to book flights. Booking cheap flights is no easy feat though as it takes a lot of planning.
5. AllTrails
AllTrails is perfect for travelers wanting to see new land or go hiking. It allows one to search for different lands for walking or hiking. A great app and one of the best offline travel directions app I know of.
6. Safety Wing
Safety Wing is a medical and travel insurance company that provides for most countries. It allows for both medical and travel insurance which can be helpful if you end up getting hurt in the dojo or whatever.
7. Lounge Buddy
Lounge Buddy is affordable Airport Lounges. I did it once and they had free food and drinks. It was quite the time!
8. Airbnb
Airbnb is well known for having short term to long term stays. Pretty awesome company if you ask me that has redefined the travel industry.
9. WeWork
WeWork is on demand office space for remote workers. It’s another one of my favorite travel apps because it’s fun to go there and get free coffee even though it’s not really that free… am I right?
10. ClassPass
ClassPass is on demand gym service and it allows patrons to use the gym for cheap! Another favorite of mine!
