In this article, I talk about the best sites for coding part-time jobs. This includes several different websites and some may surprise you!
Best Sites for Coding Part-Time Jobs
I wanted to start this article with a preface: you may or may not be destined to succeed in freelance coding jobs.
It takes a lot of self-determination to learn coding and then from there also to perform in jobs for coders.
Not only does it take a lot of a skill to code but also being a freelance programmer requires a lot of client relationship management.
That being said I think anyone can do it with enough work and I’m happy to present my favorite websites for freelance programming jobs!
UpWork
The OG in jobs for coding: UpWork provides a great platform for interacting with clients and provides what I think is the best freelance platform for engineers.
This site allows you to apply to jobs on the site and then clients choose who to work with.
think this system works pretty well for part-time coding jobs and if you have your portfolio and resume set up it should be a breeze!
Fiverr
Fiverr is another popular platform for coders and I think it’s one of the best web designer freelance websites on the internet.
It’s simple as you just sign up: post different gigs you can do such as build a website or other freelance code work.
Then when you get traffic employers will hire you!
It’s customary for jobs to start at $5 (hence the name Fiverr) but for the most part, you can make about as much or more than other online programmer jobs.
Gun.io
Gun.io is a little bit tougher to get into. You have to take a coding interview similar to most tech interviews.
Make sure you study up on your Cracking the Coding Interview reading!
Once you are in you are in touch with one of the better platforms for freelance coding work.
They run a similar gig to UpWork as you apply for jobs and the client selects the most attractive candidate.
LinkedIn is another great platform for coding work-from-home jobs.
In fact LinkedIn kind of runs the coding from home employment movement.
Anyways: it’s a great platform to use especially if you write content declare yourself a freelancer and link your UpWork Direct Contacts link in your LinkedIn Bio!
This can be a great way to get online coding jobs as it allows Organic Traffic to do the heavy lifting.
Shopify
Next up is Shopify and it’s not recommended for getting coding jobs for beginners as it requires a lot of initial work and upkeep.
You want to join Shopify with the link I gave you and then you can set up your website to get clients for work-from-home coding jobs!
A lot of work but boy is it worth it!
After building the site don’t forget to make content and put it in Google and BING!
This is another great way you can get freelance computer programming jobs.
Conclusion
Anyways: these were my five (5) favorite platforms for coding jobs for beginners.
I wish you the best in your journey to work from home coding jobs.
I hope this helps at least one coder their first gig.
Anyways this has been computer programming jobs for beginners.
